Snack maker employers more than 40 workers: NAPE
Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE) members at Purity Factories in St. John’s voted in favour of ratifying a new collective agreement on Oct. 18.
“Our hard-working members at Purity can now focus on creating quality foods, candies, and snacks that are made right here in Newfoundland and Labrador and loved the world over,” said Jerry Earle, NAPE president.
The new agreement contains increases in wages, as well as contract language and benefit improvements, said Earle.
The new deal is effective as of June 27, 2018, and is set to expire on June 26, 2020.
NAPE represents more than 40 workers at Purity.
