Women confronts group of German tourists on transit train
A woman said to be a recruiter has been fired from her job after a viral video captured her yelling angrily at a group of German tourists.
According to media reports, Brianna Pinnix was travelling on a New Jersey transit train when she decided to confront some men talking German.
“Get the f–k out of our country,” she says at one point, while her boyfriend tries to restrain her.
The video was posted to Reddit.
Last June, an Ontario HR professional was investigated by the Human Resources Professionals Association after she posted a controversial video.
Fired by employer
According to a now-deleted LinkedIn profile, Pinnix worked as a senior talent acquisition specialist for Capital Rx, a pharmaceutical company based in New York, according to media reports.
She has since been fired.
“Our company has a zero-tolerance policy around prejudicial or discriminatory behavior. After conducting a review of the circumstances, we acted immediately and terminated the employee in question,” a spokesperson said in a statement.
“The former employee’s actions and words are not representative of Capital Rx, and we offer our sincerest apology to those who were hurt.”
In February 2022, another recruiter also generated controversy when she posted online about lowballing a job candidate.
In the recent video, Pinnix appears to be drunk and repeatedly asks a man speaking German what he had said. She calls the group “f—–g immigrants,” to which her boyfriend responds: “You know I’m an immigrant, I’m an immigrant, too, you know that, right?”
“Yeah … but I’m responsible for you so it’s OK,” she responds, laughing.
