Winners of 2017 National HR Awards announced

More than 100 HR professionals and business leaders from across Canada and the United States gathered in downtown Toronto last night to celebrate the 2017 National HR Awards.

Todd Humber, publisher and editor-in-chief, hosted the event as 11 awards were handed out.

"Too often the importance of good HR is overlooked. It’s why I’m so proud of these awards,” he said. “We get to celebrate the hard work of HR professionals and turn a bright spotlight on the work all of you do. HR doesn’t seek the spotlight or recognition. But at Canadian HR Reporter and Thomson Reuters, it’s our job to push you in that direction.”

Winners travelled from as far away as Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Montreal and St. Louis to attend the gala cocktail reception at the Arcadian Court.

Look for the Nov. 13 issue of Canadian HR Reporter which will feature in-depth stories about the award winners.

“Congratulations again to all of the organizations and individuals who took home hardware at last night’s awards,” said Humber. “The quality of the nominations was phenomenal, and our judges did a great job of sorting through the entries to identify some of the best human resources practices in Canada.”
