Offers information on work-life issues and allows employers to access best-practice information.
The Ministry of Labour has launched a new work-life balance Web site.
It provides the means to share and compare information on various work-life issues such as innovative provisions in collective agreements and the benefits of work-related child-care centres. It also allows employers, unions, managers and HR practitioners to access the latest information and examples of best practices that enhance work-life balance for their employees.
“Families are an integral part of our society, said Claudette Bradshaw, Minister of Labour. “We need to support working families and invest in them. Implementing workplace measures to help balance work and personal time is an effective way to achieve this.”
The work-life balance Web site can help organizations design and implement supportive programs and policies, facilitate change in the workplace and measure progress against leading organizations. The Web site will be continually updated and expanded and users can provide comments and suggestions to further improve the site’s application of work-life balance information.
The new site is located at: http://labour-travail.hrdc-drhc.gc.ca/worklife/
