'Trade continues its steady growth, adding the most jobs the sector has seen all year'
Employment in Canada increased by 28,800 jobs from August to September according to the ADP Canada National Employment Report, which is derived from actual payroll data.
"The labour market was quite strong in the month of September," said Ahu Yildirmaz, vice-president and co-head of the ADP Research Institute. "Although the goods-producing sector struggled this month, we saw significant growth in many industries. Trade, for example, continued its steady growth adding the most jobs the sector has seen all year."
