Leaders understand link between workplace learning and the bottom line
The contribution and support 25 leaders have provided to workplace learning is being recognized during during the Canadian Society for Training and Development's (CSTD) Learn @ Work Week.
“The Learning Leader program provides us with the opportunity to recognize senior business leaders who are ongoing advocates for human capital development in the workplace, even though their primary role is outside of the HR function,” said Lynn Johnston, president of CSTD.
The 2010 Learning Leaders are from top Canadian companies in numerous industries including banking, health care, gaming, engineering, pharmaceutical, retail and more.
Learning Leaders understand the link between ongoing professional development and a healthy bottom line and demonstrate this through initiatives in and outside of the workplace, said Johnston.
Learn @ Work Week raises awareness about the impact of workplace learning and celebrates best practices. It runs from Sept. 20 to 24.
