Employer-paid RSP plan part of deal: IAM
Members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), Local 103 ratified a new collective agreement on Oct. 26 with Cedarcroft Place Retirement Residence in Stratford, Ont.
“The members were successful in getting an arbitrator to award several wage adjustments as well as general wage increases,” said Kim Valliere, IAM district lodge 78 business representative.
Other agreement highlights include improved vision-care benefits, improved life-insurance benefits, improved nurse-in-charge premium and the establishment of an employer-paid RRSP plan.
The 56 members consist of registered professional nurses, UCPs, dietary aides, receptionist and housekeeping staff.
