WorkSafe Saskatchewan launches ad campaign aimed at youth

Work2Live ads posted in malls across the province

WorkSafe Saskatchewan has launched a new advertising campaign aimed at young people.

The campaign’s slogan, Work2Live, identifies the need to practice safety in the workplace, identify and remove hazards, and remove risks from our jobs. The main character of the two ads is a worker ant. One ad relays the message, “If it feels wrong, it probably is wrong.” The other ad says, “There’s no such thing as a stupid question.”

“Being safe at work is important,” one of the ads says. “If you’re not sure what to do, stop. Ask your supervisor for help. Tell your parents or ask your teacher. Ask someone. Your life could depend on it.”

The posters are in malls across Saskatchewan, including Regina, Moose Jaw, Prince Albert and Saskatoon.

The ant character from the advertisements will also star in the 2012 Youth Video Contest campaign poster in August.

Businesses can order up to 10 free copies of each poster to promote safety at work online at: http://www.worksafesask.ca/WorkSafe-Posters
