Guide helps managers deal with mental health issues
The federal government has produced a 28-page guide to help managers deal with mental health issues in the workplace. The guide is the product a workshop developed by the Canada Revenue Agency which proved so popular that other federal departments requested the training, and a decision was made to summarize the training in a practical guide for all federal public service managers. The guide includes information on risk factors, the manager’s role and helping employees transition back to work following a leave.
