Charles Sousa replaces Peter Fonseca
Minister of Labour Peter Fonseca has resigned from Cabinet, Premier Dalton McGuinty announced.
In a statement, McGuinty thanked Fonseca his accomplishments including doubling the number of workplace inspectors, reducing the number of lost-time injuries in the workplace and increasing the minimum wage.

Fonseca confirmed he has been approached about running for the federal Liberals and is considering the opportunity. He currently remains MPP for Mississauga East-Cooksville.
McGuinty also announced that Charles Sousa is the new Minister of Labour.
"Charles will continue to put Ontario workers and their families first, particularly as we implement the workplace safety recommendations in the Tony Dean Expert Panel. I know Charles will continue to bring together our workers and businesses to uphold employment standards and improve the health and safety of our workplaces," said McGuinty.
