Quality of hire, time to hire most useful metrics
Recruiters and talent professionals will be hot commodities in 2020 and beyond, according to LinkedIn
The demand for recruiting professionals in Canada has increased by 166 per cent since 2016 — compared to 63 per cent globally — because of the ever-growing scarcity of talent, said its report the Future of Recruiting.
Just over one quarter (26 per cent) of Canadian recruiting professionals surveyed said that retaining top talent recruiters was a priority of over the next five years.
Globally, the top five priorities for recruiting over the next five years are:
- keeping up with rapidly changing hiring needs (65 per cent)
- keeping up with recruiting technology (52 per cent)
- showing business impact (43 per cent)
- leveraging data effectively (43 per cent)
- influencing business leaders (41 per cent).
However, most companies don’t track the most useful metrics for recruitment, said the report, with large gaps between what’s used today and what would be useful over the next five years.
