Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 18, 2017, to Jan. 17, 2020. Signed on May 16, 2017.
Shift premium: $0.55 for all hours worked on second shift. $0.75 for all hours worked on third shift. $0.50 per hour for lead hand.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 1 day per month (maximum 10 days) or 4% to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years,
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. Time and one-half for work on sixth day in payroll week, double time for work on seventh day in payroll week.
Medical benefits: Employer will pay maximum $306 (previously $235) for monthly premiums of Prairie Teamsters Health and Welfare Plan. For future premium increases, employer and employee will share costs on 50/50 basis.
Pension: Employer will match contributions to registered defined contribution pension plan, maximum 3%.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of spouse, father, foster-father, mother, foster-mother, child, adoptive child, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law. May be extended to 5 days (2 additional days without pay). 2 days for death of grandmother, grandfather. 1 day for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for employees with less than 1 year of seniority; 18 months for employees with more than 1 year of seniority.
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ pay at time and one-half.
Probationary period: 3 months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 28% increase):
Starting rates
Year 1 (2017): $17.50 rising 6 steps to $22.40
Year 2 (2018): $17.75 rising 6 steps to $22.65
Year 3 (2019): $18 rising 6 steps to $22.90
Editor’s notes: Out-of-town work: Employee will receive reimbursement for travel expenses to and from relocation site, meal allowance, lodging allowance and if required, rental car in accordance with company’s allowance policies.
