Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2015, to Dec. 31, 2017. Signed on Jan. 1, 2015.

Wage adjustments:

Effective Jan. 1, 2016: 2%
Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 2%

Shift premium:
30¢ for all hours worked between 4 p.m. and 9:59 p.m. 55¢ for all hours worked between 10 p.m. and 3:59 a.m. $40 per month for employees performing aircraft towing. $10 per tow for employees performing infield tows. $1 per hour for employees assigned to temporary relief duties in a higher paying classification or job assignment.

Paid holidays:
9 holidays and 2 floating holidays.

Vacations with pay:
14 days after 1 year, 21 days after 6 years and 28 days after 11 years.  

Overtime
: Time and one-half.

Meal allowance:
$10 when employees are required to work more than 4 hours of overtime. Additional $10 for employees working in excess of 8 hours’ overtime.

Sick leave:
Employee will be credited with 24 hours’ sick leave after successfully completing the probationary period. Employees will accrue sick leave at the rate of 4 hours per month of employment to a maximum of 240 hours.

Bereavement leave:
3 days for employee’s spouse, child, spouse’s chid, brother, sister, parent, grandparent, spouse’s parent, spouse’s grandparent or relative permanently residing with the employee. Up to 3 days as requested by the employee for travel out of province. Up to 5 days as requested by the employee for travel out of the country.

Seniority – recall rights:
2 years.

Call-in pay:
Minimum 4 hours at time and one-half.

Probationary period
: 6 months.

Discipline:
Sunset clause is 2 years.

Uniforms/clothing:
Employer provides 5 shirts and 3 pairs of pants to full-time employees and 3 shirts and 2 pairs of pants to part-time employees. Additionally, the employer will provide employees with 1 summer jacket every 2 years, 1 winter parka or insulated coverall every 2 years, 1 rain suit every 2 years, 5 pairs of summer gloves every year, 5 pairs of winter gloves every year and 1 safety vest to be replaced as needed. Aircraft cleaners will receive 1 set of knee pads upon request.

Tool allowance
: $300 per year for employees in the ground equipment and aircraft maintenance categories required to use their own tools.

Editor’s notes:
Social justice fund: Employer pays $250 per year to Unifor Social Justice Fund. Dry-cleaning allowance: $10 per month for employees in the passenger services category. Anti-harassment training: The employer will pay for the time off and training facilities to provide 1 mandatory day of anti-harassment training for all bargaining unit members and supervisors. This course will become part of the new hire training.
