Thunder Bay, Ont. (95 health-care workers, drivers, security guards) and the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC)

Renewal agreement: Effective Dec. 20, 2017, to Aug. 31, 2019. Signed on Dec. 20, 2017.
Shift premium: $0.75 per hour for all hours worked during midnight shift. $0.75 per hour will be paid on all hours worked with class F license. $0.75 per hour will be paid on all hours worked as security guard with security-guard license.
Paid holidays: 12 days. 
Vacations with pay: 3.08 hours or 0.83 days per month after 1 year, 4.62 hours or 1.25 days per month after 4 years, 6.15 hours or 1.66 days per month after 8 years, 7.69 hours or 2.08 days per month after 12 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regularly scheduled daily hours or after 40 hours per week. 
Medical benefits: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums.
Sick leave: 8 hours or 1 day per month, maximum 96 hours or 12 days per year after 3 months of service. Employee may carry over maximum 200 hours or 25 days of sick-leave per year.
LTD: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for coverage of 66.7% of monthly earnings, maximum $3,000 per month. 
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Employer will remit employer’s and employee’s share of pension plan to Great-West Life for eligible employees.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, parent, spouse of mother or father (including common-law spouse), child(ren), sister, brother, father-in-law (including common-law), mother-in-law (including common-law), sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren, any member residing in employee’s household). 1 day to attend funeral of cousin, niece, nephew, aunts, uncles.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours.
Probationary period: 1,040 hours of service.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years. Sealed files will only be accessed when there are liability issues concerning client of Lodge.
Severance: 3 days for each 2,080 hours of work, maximum 50 days.
