Labour action could begin July 16
Unifor members at AT Films in Alberta could be on strike as early as July 16.
Labour action is set to start unless a deal is reached between the employer and Unifor Local 21-A.
Collective bargaining has been at an impasse since early June. Negotiations have been ongoing since December 2014.
“The company must agree to a deal that reflects the important contribution made by its Alberta workers,” said Unifor Local 21-A president Mike Kapalka. “Our members deserve a fair deal.”
AT Films researches, designs and manufactures film products, with Unifor members manufacturing, folding and distributing polythene film products for the company.
