Scheduling, student leave improvements part of new deal
UFCW Canada Local 1006A members working at the Cineplex Courtney Park Cinema in Mississauga, Ont., have ratified a new contract that brings improvements to contract language, scheduling flexibility, wages and more, said the union.
The new contract covers approximately 100 members at the multiplex movie theatre.
Some of the new contract's highlights include:
- increased student leave
- increased weekly scheduling availability flexibility
- wage grid improvements
- doubling of the signing bonus
- new harassment-free workplace language
