Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 1, 2018: 2%
Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 2%
Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 2.25%
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 10 days prorated to start, 10 days after 1 year, 15 days after 2 years, 20 days after 7 years, 25 days after 15 years, 30 days after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours in excess of employee’s regular shift. Double time after 4 hours of overtime. May be taken as time off in lieu. May be banked, maximum 60 hours.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15%. $200 per year to health spending account which may only be used for medical, dental and vision expenses.
Dental: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15%. 100% reimbursement for basic, diagnostic services. 50% reimbursement for major, dentures, orthodontics services.
Vision: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% for $400 every 24 months.
Sick leave: 1 1/2 days per month, maximum 25 days.
STD: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% for coverage of 75% of pre-disability earnings, maximum 17 weeks.
LTD: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% for coverage of 75% of pre-disability earnings, maximum $4,500 per month.
Life insurance: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% for coverage of 2 times annual earnings.
Pension: Local Authorities Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of mother, father, grandparent, sister, brother, spouse, child, stepparent, stepchild, mother-in-law, guardian, father-in-law, grandchild. 3 days for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law, niece, nephew, aunt, uncle. 2 additional unpaid days for travel in excess of 500 kilometres.
Seniority – recall rights: 24 months.
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ pay at overtime rates.
Probationary period: 3 months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.
Safety shoes: $250 per year for CSA-approved safety boots.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide coveralls, uniforms, gloves as required.
