Calgary (46 stage crew employees) and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts of the United States its Territories and Canada (IATSE), Local 212

Renewal agreement: Effective June 1, 2019, to May 31, 2022. Ratified on March 22, 2019. Signed on April 25, 2019.
Shift premium: Time and one-half for work between midnight and 8 a.m. 
Paid holidays: 12 days. 
Vacations with pay: 6% (for employees who have worked for 2 consecutive seasons) after 3 years, 5% (for employees who have worked for 5 consecutive seasons) after 6 years, 10% (for employees who have worked for 9 consecutive seasons) after 10 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day; double time for all work after 12 hours per day. Time and one-half for all work after 40 hours per week; double time for all work after 60 hours per week; triple time for all work after 65 hours per week. 
Meal allowance: If half hour meal break is not allowed by employer, employer will pay $17 for first half hour, $30 for each subsequent half hour of meal break infringement, until meal break is provided.
Medical benefits: Employer will contribute 4.55% (previously 4%) of gross earnings of each employee for health and welfare benefits to union. Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for Alberta Heath Care.
Sick leave: Maximum of 12 working days per year.
Pension: Employer will contribute 4% to RRSP established by employer. 
Bereavement leave: After 3 months of employment, 5 days for death of spouse, parent, father-in-law, mother-in-law, child, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, former guardian, ward, fiancée, any other relative who has been residing in same household (relative includes person related by marriage, adoption, heterosexual or same-sex common-law). 7 days if burial occurs outside province (5 days with pay, 2 days leave).
Call-in pay: Minimum of 4 hours’ pay at prevailing rate per work day.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months (previously 18 months).
Tool allowance: $100 once every 12-month period for construction-department head employees, qualifying construction-department employees, assistant stage-head employees. $500-per-year fund for replacing or repairing personal tools broken, stolen or damaged in course of working for employer. At end of employer’s fiscal year, fund will be replenished.
Mileage: $0.54 per kilometre driven, plus any related parking expenses, when employee transports employer costumes, equipment or personnel.

Head (permanent/seasonal): $30.50 rising 2 steps to $32.25
Assistant stage head: $28.50 rising 2 steps to $30.25
Running crew: $27.50 rising 2 steps to $29.25
Casual stagehand: $26.50 rising 2 steps to $28.25
Construction shops crews
Head (construction department): $30.50 rising 2 steps to $32.25
Senior builder (cutter, tailor, lead welder): $30 rising 2 steps to $31.75
Lead builder (first hand, carpenter, props, dyer, scenic artist, props buyer): $28.50 rising 2 steps to $30.25
Builder (stitcher, carpenter, props): $26.50 rising 2 steps to $28.25
Construction entry-level crew $23 rising 2 steps to $24.75
Editor’s notes: Administration fee: Employer will contribute 1% of all gross earnings toward general benefit of members. Contribution will be forwarded monthly to union with complete remittance breakdown. Bicycle lock: Employer will pay 50% of cost of annual bicycle lock-up pass, maximum $15 per year per person, thus enabling employee to park bicycle securely in underground parking lot in performing arts centre for employees who bicycle to work.
