Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 19, 2016, to Feb. 18, 2019. Signed on April 7, 2016.
Wage adjustments:
Jan. 1, 2017: 1.2%
Jan. 1, 2018: 1.2%
Shift premium: Work after 2:30 p.m., before 1:00 a.m., $2 per hour. Lead hand: $1 per hour.
Paid holidays: 10 days.
Vacations with pay: .83 days per month to start or 4%. 3 weeks after 2 years or 6%. 4 weeks after 10 years or 8%.
Overtime: 5 banked days per year.
Sick leave: Pro-rated based on service with maximum 5 days. 8.5 hours for each sick day utilized. Unused sick days carried over to next year and converted into vacation days for the following year.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for immediate family (spouse, mother, father, daughter, son, brother, sister, grandparents, grandchildren, mother-in-law, father-in-law, same-sex spouse and common-law spouse). 1 extra day if funeral is out of province.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Probationary period: 90 days.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.
Safety shoes: Annual allowance effective Feb. 19, 2016, $165. Effective Feb. 19, 2017, $175. Effective Feb. 19, 2018, $185.

Lube tech: $18.11 rising 2 steps to $18.47
Bus washer: $14.68 rising 2 steps to $14.98
Apprentices (percentages based on 5-year mechanics’ rate): Year 1 65%, Year 2 70%, Year 3 80%.
Editor’s notes: Unpaid leave days: Employees will take working days between Boxing Day and New Year’s Days as unpaid leave days. Clerk bonus: $1,000 quarterly bonus until new maintenance supervisor is hired. CPR training: 3 employees given basic first-aid training for up to 3 shifts. Medical examination: If required by the company, the company pays for all procedures. $25 if examination is outside regular hours. Steward leave: 3 days per year without pay to attend seminars and educational programs.
