Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 1, 2016, to Aug. 31, 2019. Ratified on June 7, 2017. Signed on June 14, 2017.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Overtime: Time and one-half for first four hours of overtime, double time thereafter and for work on scheduled day off. Overtime counted after 7 hours for clerical employees, 7 1/2 hours for custodial employees, 8 hours for maintenance employees. May be accumulated, maximum 40 hours.
Medical benefits: Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan. Employer pays 100% of Alberta Health Care Plan premiums. Employer will provide health-care spending account of $37.50 per month (equivalent to $450 per year). Effective Sept. 1, 2018: $41.66 per month (equivalent to $500 per year) (previously $33.33 per month or $400 per year).
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums (previously 75% of premiums) for coverage of 100% for basic dentistry, 60% for periodontics (lifetime maximum $1,500 per participant), 50% for extensive dentistry. $1,500 combined maximum on basic, extensive per participant per year.
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Sick leave: 1 1/2 days per month. May be accumulated, maximum 90 days.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Local Authorities Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of parent, wife, husband, common-in-law spouse, brother, sister, child, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, former guardian, fiancé, any second-degree relative who was residing in same household. One-half day to attend as pallbearer.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year.
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours of pay at overtime rates, paid from time employee leaves home until employee returns home.
Probationary period: 6 months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 30 months.
Safety shoes: $150 per year (previously $100 per year) for CSA-approved footwear. May be accrued, maximum $300 (previously $100).
