Whitehorse (13 outreach coordinator, shelter workers) and Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC)

Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 17, 2017, to March 31, 2019. Signed on April 27, 2017.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective April 1, 2017: 2%
Effective April 1, 2018: 2%
Shift premium: $0.50 per hour when working between the following hours: Friday from 4 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.; Saturday from midnight to midnight; Sunday from midnight to midnight; Monday from midnight to 9 a.m. Holiday season premium pay: Employees required to work on holidays will be paid time and one-half. Maximum 3 days — excluding the designated paid holidays — in Dec. 25 to 31 period.
Paid holidays: 13 days. 
Vacations with pay: 1.66 days per month after 1 year, 2 days per month after 3 years and 1 month, 2.25 days per month after 5 years and 1 month, 2.5 days per month after 7 years and one month. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. May be banked, maximum 40 hours.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Sick leave: 0.7 of day per month. May be carried over year-to-year, maximum 30 days accumulated. 
STD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Employer will match contributions to employee registered retirement savings plan: Year 1: 2% of pay; years 2,3,4: 3% of pay; year 5: 3% of pay plus $200 contribution; years 6,7,8,9: 3% of pay; year 10: 3% of pay plus $1,000 contribution; years 11 and thereafter:3% of pay.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, stepfather, stepmother, foster-parent, grandparent, grandchild, sister, brother, stepsister, stepbrother, partner, child, stepchild, partner’s child, foster-child, partner of employee’s child, stepchild, partner’s child or foster-child, partner’s parent, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, any person residing with employee at time of death or imminent death, any person for whom employee has formally declared responsibility of care and support). 3 additional days for travel out of Whitehorse. 2 additional weeks, without pay, if requested.
Seniority – recall rights: 18 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours’ pay at overtime rate.
Probationary period: 975 hours or 6 months, whichever occurs first. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.
Severance: For employees with more than 10,000 hours’ service: 1/4 of employee’s average weekly pay for 12 months preceding, multiplied by number of completed years of service, less any severance bonus previously received.

Outreach coordinator 
Start: $26.16 rising 2 steps to $27.21
After 1 year: $27.85 rising 2 steps to $28.96
After 2 years: $29.08 rising 2 steps to $30.25
Shelter worker
Start: $22 rising 2 steps to $22.88
After 1 year: $22.50 rising 2 steps to $23.40
After 2 years: $23.25 rising 2 steps to $24.18
Editor’s notes: Civil liability: Employees will be covered by directors’ and officers’ liability insurance policy. PSAC Social Justice Fund: Employer will contribute $0.01 per hour worked per employee to fund.
