Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2018, to Dec. 31. 2020. Ratified on Feb. 15, 2018. Signed on May 17, 2018.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 1, 2018: $0.25 per hour
Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 1.5%
Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 2.5%
Shift premium: $0.85 per hour (previously $0.75 per hour) will be paid to employee for hours worked between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m., subject to minimum of 3 hours worked between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. $0.85 per hour (previously $0.75 per hour) will be paid to employee for hours worked between 5 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Monday.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 0.83 days per month to start, 10 days after 1 year, 15 days after 4 years, 20 days after 8 years, 25 days after 14 years, 30 days after 21 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or after 32 or 40 hours (maintenance, housekeeping employees) per week.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums.
Vision: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums.
Sick leave: 1 day per month, maximum 65 days.
LTD: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums.
AD&D: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums.
Pension: Nursing Homes and Related Industries Pension Plan. Employees will contribute 4%, employer will contribute 4%.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, parents, sisters, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, children, stepparents, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparents, fiancé, stepchildren, brothers, father-in-law, son-in-law, stepgrandparents). 1 day for death in extended family (aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins). Additional 2 days for travel more than 320 kilometres from employee’s residence to attend funeral. Maximum 2 employees may be permitted time off, with pay, maximum 2 hours to attend funeral services for death of lodge resident.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Call-in pay: Regular basic rate for all hours worked or 2 hours at time and one-half, whichever is greater.
Probationary period: 780 hours worked.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Severance: 1 weeks’ pay after 3 months of service; 2 weeks’ pay after 2 years of service; 4 weeks’ pay after 4 years of service; 5 weeks’ pay after 6 years of service; 6 weeks’ pay after 8 years of service; 8 weeks’ pay after 10 years of service.
Tool allowance: $25 per month for maintenance workers.
Mileage: $0.58 per kilometre for travel authorized in advance by employer for maintenance employees. $0.53 per kilometre for all other employees travelling on approved employer business.

Step 1 (hours worked: 0 to 1,976): $15.68 rising 3 steps to $16.32
Step 2 (hours worked: 1,976 and more): $17.30 rising 3 steps to $18
