Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2020. Signed on Sept. 5, 2017.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 2%
Effective Jan. 1, 2018: 1%

Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 2%
Shift premium: $2.50 per hour for all hours worked, including overtime hours, where half or more of hours are regularly scheduled between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. $2 per hour for all hours worked as lead-hand.
Paid holidays: 11 days, plus in communities where Hamlet Day is designated municipal holiday, employer will allow employees one-half day or 4 hours to participate in events.
Vacations with pay: 1.375 days per month or 16.5 days to start, 1.79 days per month or 21.5 days after 2 years, 2.08 days per month or 25 days after 12 years, 2.92 days per month or 35 days per year after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regular hours, double time after 4 hours of overtime. May be taken as time off in lieu, maximum 25 days’ leave accumulated.
Meal allowance: Employee will be provided with meal or meal allowance after 3 hours of overtime.
Medical benefits: Great West Life Group Benefit Program.
Dental: Coverage of 100% for basic, 80% for major treatment. Maximum $3,000 per dependant for orthodontic services, $2,000 for services other than orthodontic.
Sick leave: 1.25 days per month.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family, plus additional 3 days for travel (father, mother, stepfather, stepmother, foster-parent, brother, sister, spouse, child, stepchild, ward, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, relative residing in employee’s household). 1 day for death in family, plus additional 1 day for travel (son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, any person after whom employee is named, either formally or by custom). 4 hours to attend funeral of elder in employee’s community or to perform duties of pallbearer at funeral in employee’s community.
Call-in pay: Pay at overtime rate or 3 hours’ pay at time and one-half, whichever is greater.
Probationary period: 6 months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.
Severance: 2 weeks’ pay for each of first and second years of continuous service; 1 week’s pay for each succeeding year of service, maximum 30 weeks of pay. 2 weeks’ pay for each year of service on second and subsequent layoffs, maximum 30 weeks of pay.
Uniforms/clothing: $1,300 per year (previously $800 per year) for personal-protective clothing.

Resignations: Employee who submits written resignation to employer may, within 3 working days, withdraw resignation. Employer will not process resignation until this period has elapsed. Continuous-service bonus: $2,000 after 6 months (prorated); $2,000 after 1 year; $2,250 after 3 years; $2,500 after 6 years; $3,000 after 10 years; $4,000 after 15 years; $5,000 after 20 years.
