Both side will go to binding arbitration
Workers from the Children’s Aid Society of Ontario's Region of Peel (Peel CAS) have ended a 13-week strike.
“Now the important thing is getting back to work and letting the arbitration process continue while our members focus on what is important, the children and families of Peel who rely on our service,” said Sonia Yung, president of local 4914 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE).
The strike ended after Peel CAS agreed to CUPE’s request to reach an agreement on their outstanding issues through binding arbitration, according to the union.
