Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2018, to Dec. 31, 2021. Signed on April 27, 2018.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 1, 2018: 1.75%
Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 1.75%
Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 1.5%
Effective Jan. 1, 2021: 1.5%
Paid holidays: 14 days.
Vacations with pay: 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 5 years, 5 weeks after 8 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for first 8 hours, double time thereafter. Double time for all work on second day of rest. May be taken as time off in lieu.
Medical benefits: Yukon Building Trades Health and Welfare Plan (group benefit plan).
Sick leave: 1 1/4 days per month, maximum 45 days.
Pension: As condition of employment, employees will open RRSP account at financial institution located within City of Whitehorse. Employer will match employee contributions, minimum 2%.
Call-in pay: Greater of compensation at appropriate overtime rate or compensation equivalent to 4 hours’ pay at straight-time rate.
Probationary period: 6 months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide and pay for all protective devices, clothing, other equipment necessary to properly protect employees from injury and unhealthy conditions. Employer will make provisions for cleaning and maintenance of all safety equipment, devices, clothing at no cost to employees.
