Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2019. Signed on Jan. 1, 2017.
Shift premium: Double time for highway division mechanic and welders and petroleum division mechanics when outside temperature is lower than -19 C. Lead hand bonus: $0.25 per hour. While operating combination-units, drivers will be paid $0.28 per hour above hourly rate. When operating units having in excess of 7 axles, driver will receive $0.28 per hour per load-bearing axle above the hourly rate.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 3 weeks or 6% after 1 year, 4 weeks or 8% after 5 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 10 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for first 4 hours after 8-hour shift, double time for all subsequent hours.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% premiums.
Dental: 100% coverage for plan A. 50% coverage for plan B, maximum $2,500 per year per person.
Vision: $500 every two years, $100 per year for sunglasses. Eye exams covered.
Paramedical: $500 per year for chiropractor, osteopath, podiatrist or naturopath.
Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Sick leave: One-half day per month.
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% premiums for coverage of $45,000.
Pension: Employees will be required to participate in plan after 1 year of service.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, mother, father, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparents, legal guardian). 2 additional days for travel outside Yukon.
Seniority – recall rights: 3 months with less than 12 months’ seniority; 6 months with less than 24 months’ seniority; 12 months with more than 24 months’ seniority.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay at overtime rate.
Probationary period: 90 days.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 30 months.
Severance: 1 week’s pay per year after 2 years’ service.
Safety shoes: $300 (previously $200 per year) per year for employees required to wear steel-toed boots by workers’ compensation.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply union-labelled uniforms when required. Employees physically handling substantial quantities of bulk petroleum products will be provided with coveralls, rubber or leather aprons, smocks, gloves, rubber boots, hard hats, safety glasses, breathing respirators, ear protectors. Company will supply 1 summer jacket, 1 winter jacket for employees distributing and handling petroleum products. Maintenance shop employees, petroleum plant operators, and local delivery drivers will be provided with 2 pairs of regular coveralls, 1 pair of winter coveralls.
Tool allowance: $1,500 per year (previously $1,000 per year) for journeyman, first-, second-class mechanics.

Union industry advancement fund: Employer will contribute $0.05 per hour per employee to Teamsters Local No. 31 Union/Industry Advancement Fund. Travel allowance: $2,100 per year. Employees residing in Watson Lake or Dawson City will be compensated $150 per year in recognition of extra travel to Whitehorse.
