Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2020. Ratified on March 1, 2019. Signed on April 9, 2019.
Wage adjustments:
Effective July 1, 2018: 0%
Effective July 1, 2019: Wage reopener
Shift premium: $1 per hour for shifts where at least one-half of hours falls between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. $1.80 per hour for all hours during compulsory class days that fall between 3 p.m. and 7 a.m. $1.80 per hour for all hours during compulsory class day that fall between 3 p.m. on Friday and 7 a.m. on Monday.
Paid holidays: 12 days, plus Christmas floater day.
Vacations with pay: 1.25 days per month to start, 15 days after 1 year, 20 days after 6 years, 25 days after 14 years, 30 days after 23 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regular hours or on days of rest. Double time after 2 hours of overtime or on second day of rest. May be taken as time off in lieu; must be taken by June 30 for all overtime taken in previous 12 months.
Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $747 per year to college’s health spending account, over 24 biweekly pay periods.
Sick leave: Maximum 10 work days of casual illness leave with pay non-cumulative.
Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (spouse or any of following relations of employee or spouse: parents, guardian, grandparent, grandchild, son, daughter, brother, sister or husband or wife of any of them (including steprelations); immediate family also includes individuals for whom employee has legal guardianship responsibilities). Additional 2 days where travel time for bereavement where long distances or travel from isolated areas is involved.
Call-in pay: Minimum of 3 hours for employee who is called back to work 1 or more times within 2-hour period and for whom time worked and time spent travelling directly to and from work totals 2 hours or less. 1 day may be given to attend funeral of someone other than member of employee’s immediate family.
Probationary period: 12 full months worked.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 36 months.
Severance: After 2 years of service: 6 weeks’ pay after 2 years; 9 weeks’ pay after 3 years; 12 weeks’ pay after 4 years; 15 weeks’ pay after 5 years; 18 weeks’ pay after 6 years; 21 weeks’ pay after 7 years; 24 weeks’ pay after 8 years; 27 weeks’ pay after 9 years; 31 weeks’ pay after 10 years; 35 weeks’ pay after 11 years; 39 weeks’ pay after 12 years; 43 weeks’ pay after 13 years.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide, clean, replace uniforms, coveralls, smocks, other items needed for protection of employee’s personal garments.
