Wage adjustments:
Effective Nov. 1, 2014: 1.25%
Effective Nov. 1, 2015: 1.75%
Effective Nov. 1, 2016: 2.25%
Shift premium: 60¢ per hour worked between 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. $1 per hour worked between 10:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. $1 per hour for employees required to do work outside of the bargaining unit. 50¢ per hour for employees responsible for training new workers.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year of service, 3 weeks after 4 years, 4 weeks after 9 years, 5 weeks after 18 years and 6 weeks after 25 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked beyond 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Double time for all hours worked on Sunday.
Meal allowance: $7 when employees are required to work more than 2 hours of overtime.
Medical benefits: 100% reimbursement for eligible single and eligible generic medications. Employer covers 100% of costs for a semi-private hospital room.
Dental: Employer covers 100% of costs for preventative work and 80% of costs for restorative work.
Vision: $300 every 2 years for the purchase of glasses or contact lenses. Employer covers 100% of costs for vision testing to a maximum of $100 every 2 years.
Paramedical: Employer covers 50% of costs for a physiotherapist to a maximum of $500 per year.
AD&D: AD&D coverage is based on occupation.
Life insurance: $60,000. $15,000 for a spouse. $10,000 for a dependent child.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for employee’s spouse or child. 3 days for employee’s father, mother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, stepbrother, stepsister, grandchild, or adoptive parent. 1 day for employee’s grandparent-in-law, son-in-law or daughter-in-law.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year.
Probationary period: 840 hours for maintenance employees and 520 hours for production employees.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides employees with 1 coat, 5 polo shirts, 5 T-shirts and 7 pairs of pants.
