Wage adjustments:

Shift premium: $0.50 per hour for afternoon-shift employees. $0.60 per hour for night-shift employees. $0.25 per hour for day-shift employees working on 12-hour shifts. $0.72 per hour for night-shift employees working on 12-hour shifts. $250 winter bonus for outside (station) and plant (yard) employees.
Paid holidays: 12 days (includes day before Christmas Day, day before New Year’s Day).
Vacations with pay: 4% to start, one-half day per month after 6 months, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 17 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 25 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 40 hours per week (36 hours at MDF) or on Saturday. Double time for all work on Sunday.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 50% for major restorative benefits. 100% for basic preventative.
Vision: $275 (previously $225).
Paramedical: Massage: $75 per visit (previously $50 per visit). Speech therapist: $25 per visit (previously $10 per visit).
STD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Employer will deposit $175 per month into each employee’s personal RRSP.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of current spouse, father, mother, children. 3 days for death of sister, brother. 2 days for death of father-in-law, mother-in-law, employee’s grandparents. 1 day for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law, spouse’s grandparent.
Seniority – recall rights: 18 months.
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours’ pay at time and one-half.
Probationary period: 480 hours worked.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months; 18 months for suspensions of 2 to 4 days; 24 months for suspensions of 5 days or more.
Safety shoes: $135 before May of each year for safety shoes or boots. Additional $135 for outside employees to purchase additional pair of winterized safety boots per year. 1 pair of winter rubbers for outside employees.
Uniforms/clothing: $250 per year uniform allowance for van drivers. Employer will provide 1 apron for finger-joint machine tailor. Maximum 1 apron per machine and apron will be left with machine.
