Wage adjustments:
Effective Sept. 1, 2015: 1.5%

Shift premium: Acting principal: $50 per day, $25 per half-day.
Paid holidays: 13 days.
Overtime: Paid in accordance with the requirements of the Canada Labour Code.
Medical benefits: Insured Group Health and Benefits Program, costs shared by employer and employee.
Sick leave: 15 days per year, maximum 200 days in the banked account.
Pension: Mohawk Council of Akwesasne Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 10 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law partner, parent, parent-in-law, stepparent, foster-parent, grandparents, grandchild, great-grandchild, brother, brother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, child, foster-child, adopted child, child of spouse or common-law partner, stepchild, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, any relative who resides in the employee’s home, person in the care of the employee as the guardian or executor of the estate or for whom the employee has power of attorney). 5 days for death in extended family (niece, nephew, aunt, uncle, first cousin). 1 day for death in other family (great aunt, great uncle, great niece, great nephew, cousin related by blood).

Probationary period: 10 months.

Teacher support 2: $29,466 rising 3 steps to $30,661
Early child educator: $35,753 rising 3 steps to $37,202
Ontario College of Teachers qualification without degree of bachelor’s degree without teacher certification: $44,813 rising 3 steps to $46,629
5 years of teacher education with teaching qualification, permit or certification: $57,091 rising 3 steps to $59,404
6 years of teacher education: $59,946 rising 3 steps to $62,375
