Wage adjustments:

Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of employee’s spouse, child or spouse’s child; mother, father, brother, sister, spouse’s mother, spouse’s father, spouse’s sister, spouse’s brother, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, father-in-law, mother-in-law, family member residing with employee, spouse’s child not residing with employee. 2 days for death of grandparents or grandchildren. 1 day for death of daughter-in-law, son-in-law. 1 day for the death of any other family member if employee attends funeral.
Mileage: Reimbursed in accordance with the Travel and Other Personal Reimbursements Policy.

Editor’s notes: Maternity leave: 18 weeks without pay. Paternity leave: 5 weeks without pay. Parental leave: 52 weeks without pay. Absence of birth or adoption: Where there is termination of pregnancy before the beginning of the 20th week preceding the expected date of delivery, 3 weeks without pay. If the termination occurs in or after the 20th week, 18 weeks. Medical leave: In cases of a short-term medical leave, not to exceed 3 weeks of the appointment, an authorized exchange of services agreeable to the employee and the course supervisor can be arranged, without reduction in pay.
