More sick days, greater footwear allowance part of collective agreement
Members of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Local Lodge 235 ratified a new collective agreement with Markham Acura in Ontario July 6, 2017.
The two-year agreement provides wage increase of two per cent in each year.
Other agreement highlights include:
- A supplementary wage increase of $1 per hour based on the platinum level of the Honda Training Certification
- Additional sick days.
- Footwear allowance now $125 per year instead of every two years.
- Contract language improvements.
The 24 members consist of mechanics, service technicians, service advisors, lot personnel, valets, and parts personnel.
