Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2021. Signed on May 25, 2017.
Wage adjustments:
Effective June 1, 2018: 1.75%
Effective June 1, 2019: 2%
Effective June 1, 2020: 2.25%
Effective June 1, 2021: 2.20%
Shift premium: $0.60 per hour for work between 3:30 p.m. to midnight. $0.60 per hour for work between midnight to 8 a.m. $0.50 per hour for employees required to possess industrial first-aid certificate and who are designated to act as first-aid attendant. $2 per hour for lead-hand premium
Paid holidays: 11 days, plus Easter Monday effective Jan. 1, 2019.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 12 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Double time for all work after 11 hours per day or 48 hours per week.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Medical Services Plan of B.C.
Dental: 80% coverage for basic services; 50% coverage for major services such as crowns, bridges, dentures.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (grandparents, grandchildren, parents, parents-in-law, spouse, children, brother, sister).
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay at overtime rate.
Probationary period: 60 days worked.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.
Severance: 1 week after 3 months of service; 2 weeks after 1 year of service; 3 weeks plus 1 week per year of service after 3 years of service.
Safety shoes: $150 per year for CSA-approved work boots.
