Shift premium: $0.85 per hour for all scheduled afternoon, graveyard shifts; $1.75 per hour on Sunday. $0.85 per hour for last 2.5 hours of day shift, $0.85 per hour for night shift; $1.75 per hour on Sunday. $0.85 per hour for regularly scheduled shifts commencing at or after 2 p.m. $1.75 per hour for each hour worked on scheduled shift that commences on Sunday. $2 per hour for each hour worked for employees who are training. $2 per hour per trade, for tradesperson who is certified in more than 1 recognized trade.
Paid holidays: 11 days, plus 3 personal days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 4 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 4 weeks or 9% after 15 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 18 years, 5 weeks or 11% after 25 years, 5 weeks or 13% after 28 years. Vacation may be banked and may only be taken immediately prior to retirement.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regularly scheduled hours.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Dental: 100% coverage for basic; 50% coverage for prosthetic appliances, crown and bridge procedures. 50% coverage for orthodontic services, lifetime maximum $3,250 per family member.
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for 100% reimbursement, maximum $375 every 2 years.
Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums for $700 per week (previously $675 per week) on 1-1-3-26 plan, maximum 26 weeks.
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for $2,400 per month, less CPP payments.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $105,000 (previously $100,000).
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $105,000 (previously $100,000).
Bereavement leave: 40 hours for death of spouse, child, mother, father. 24 hours for death in other family adopted child, stepchild, adoptive parent’s stepmother, stepfather, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter- in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparents, grandparents-in-law, grandchildren. In event of winter death, employee will be permitted 1 additional day to attend spring internment.
Seniority – recall rights: 36 months.
Call-in pay: 4 hours’ work, or at employer’s option, 4 hours’ pay at basic hourly rate without being required to work full period.
Probationary period: 50 shifts worked.
Severance: 80 hours’ pay at basic hourly rate for each year of service, maximum 2,080 hours.
Safety shoes: $100 per year (previously $75 per year) for safety boots.
Tool allowance: $400 per year recognized tradespersons.
