Wage adjustments:

Shift premium: 5% of base hourly rate for employees assigned to positions outside of bargaining unit. $2.59 per hour (previously $2.30 per hour) for all hours worked between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. for customer-care centre and dispatch groups employees. 1 times normal straight time rate for employee who works at or above height of 24.4 metres free-fall above ground level.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: For office staff: 112.5 hours to start, 150 hours after 7 years, 187.5 hours after 16 years, 225 hours after 24 years, 262.5 hours after 30 years. For contact centre, dispatch, field staff: 120 hours to start, 160 hours after 7 years, 200 hours after 16 years, 240 hours after 24 years, 280 hours after 30 years. May be carried forward (employees must take at least 3 weeks’ vacation per year), maximum 150 hours for 75-hour biweekly schedule, 160 vacation hours for 80-hour biweekly schedule.
Overtime: Double time for all work outside scheduled hours and for all work on scheduled days off. Minimum 2 hours’ pay at overtime rates when scheduled overtime is cancelled with less than 8 hours’ notice. May be banked, maximum equivalent of 60 overtime hours or 120 regular hours.
Meal allowance: $17 when employee works more than 2 hours of overtime before shift or 3 hours of overtime after shift. Additional $17 after each subsequent 4-hour period thereafter.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, common-law spouse, parent, child, stepchild. 3 days for death in other family (brother, sister, parent-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent, spouse’s grandparent, grandchild, guardian, any relative living in household of employee). Additional 2 days for travel if required. 1 day for death of aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, when employee is acting as pallbearer. Time off for death of working associate or former working associate.
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ pay at overtime rates.
Probationary period: 6 months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.
Safety shoes: $375 per year for routine-exposure employees or $200 per year for sporadic-exposure employees. Employees who are new to position requiring fire-resistant work wear will receive initial footwear allotment of $800 per year for routine-exposure employee or $400 per year for sporadic-exposure employee and appropriate clothing. $200 per year for employees required to wear standard safety footwear.
Uniforms/clothing: 1 winter jacket every 4 years for employees working in warehouse or yard environments outdoors.
Mileage: Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) automobile allowance rate.
