Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2015, to March 31, 2018. Signed on July 25, 2016.
Wage adjustments:
Effective April 1, 2016: 2%
Effective April 1, 2017: 2%
Shift premium: Airport bus premium: $0.50. Mechanics with NGV certification premium: $1. Mechanics with motor vehicle inspection: $2. Prince Rupert airport truck premium: $1. Industrial work premium: $4. Line trainer rate: $1. Trainer: $2. Journeymen mechanics: $2 for air-brake-equipped commercial transport vehicle inspection certification, $1 for NGV certification.
Paid holidays: 12 days. Time and one-half for working holiday, double time after 11 hours.
Vacations with pay: 1 week after 6 months, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 2 years, 4 weeks 8% after 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 17 years,
Overtime: Time and one-half after 40 hours per week. May be banked, but must be used or paid out by Dec. 1.
Meal allowance: Maximum $45 per day, when working and not returning home during 24-hour period.
Medical benefits: 85% premiums paid by employer.
Dental: 85% premiums paid by employer.
Vision: $300 every 2 years.
Weekly indemnity: 75% of wages for 26 weeks.
AD&D: $35,000 plus double indemnity.
Life insurance: $35,000 for group life insurance.
Pension: CUPE Multi-Sector Pension Plan. 4% contribution by employer, 4% by employee. Effective March 31, 2018: 5% contribution by employer, 5% by employee.
Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (spouse, partner, son, daughter, sister, brother, mother, father, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandmother, grandfather, stepmother, stepfather, legal guardian, stepchild, adopted child, grandchild). Additional 1 day if unable to attend funeral of mother, father, son, daughter, brother, sister.
Seniority – recall rights: 24 months.
Probationary period: 480 hours.
Safety shoes: $150 for full-time mechanics, servicemen. Additional $150 if damaged. $125 for all other employees.
Uniforms/clothing: $24 per month to clean uniforms.
Tool allowance: $75 per month for mechanics, apprentice mechanics.

Editor’s notes: Surveillance cameras, GPS: Recordings may be used as an investigative tool for complaints, collisions, or incidents. The recording may be used as a part of disciplinary process. Cameras will not be focused directly on the driver. Education leave: 2 days leave per year to further employee’s education. Medical exams: Company reimburses 50% of cost, maximum $50. Pre-trip inspection: 15 minutes paid time to perform inspection on vehicle. 30 minutes for highway charters. Driver’s licence suspension: Employees may be granted an unpaid leave of absence as a result of the temporary suspension of their driver’s licence.
