Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 1, 2016, to Aug. 31, 2020. Ratified on Jan. 9, 2017. Signed on Sept. 1, 2016.
Shift premium: Feed-plant and warehouse: $1.10 per hour where majority of hours worked is between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. $1.20 per hour when employee temporarily assigned to work in freezer for 1 hour or more.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 13 years, 6 weeks after 18 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for the first 3 hours, double time thereafter. Double time for all work on employee’s seventh shift.
Meal allowance: $12 meal voucher redeemable in the cafeteria for unplanned overtime assignments of 2 hours or longer right before or right after regular shift.
Bereavement leave: Time off will be granted at discretion of the employer for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse if co-habituating for minimum 1 year, mother, father, child, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparents, spouse’s grandparents, mother-in-law, father-in-law, stepfather, stepmother). 1 day for death of grandchild.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Probationary period: 6 months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months except in cases involving violence in workplace, harassment or major safety violations.
Safety shoes: 75% of cost, maximum $150.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply snowsuits, gloves and insulated boots to employees required to work in freezer.
