Wage adjustments:
Effective Sept. 1, 2015: 1%
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 12-month employees: 15 days after 1 year, 20 days after 7 years, 25 days after 17 years. 10-month employees: Vacation must be taken during Christmas break, spring break and annual teachers’ convention. Additional 5 days after 7 years, additional 5 days after 17 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for hours worked after 7 hours per day, maximum 12 hours per day.
Medical benefits: 80% of premiums paid by employer for extended health care.
Dental: 80% of premiums paid by employer.
Sick leave: 2 days per month, maximum 90 days credit. Employee may use 6 days per year to care for ailing child or spouse.
LTD: 100% of premiums paid by employer.
Life insurance: 80% of premiums paid by employer.
Pension: Local Authorities Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family if funeral inside Alberta, 5 days for funeral outside Alberta (father, mother, legal guardian, wife, husband, child, brother, sister, grandparents, grandchildren, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, aunt, uncle).
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year.
Probationary period: 6 months.

Pay group 1 (school assistant 1 - classroom support, cafeteria worker): $17.07 rising 6 steps to $21.89
Pay group 2 (school assistant 2 - office support): $18.04 rising 6 steps to $22.96
Pay group 3 (educational assistant level 2 – uncertified, secretary 1, library technician, laboratory technician level 1, cafeteria assistant): $19.52 rising 6 steps to $25.11
Pay group 4 (educational assistant level 2 - certified, program assistant, secretary 2, accounts clerk 1, transportation assistant level 1, laboratory technician level 2): $21.07 rising 6 steps to $27.34
Pay group 5 (program assistant, educational assistant level 3, accounts clerk 2): $22.60 rising 6 steps to $30.07
Pay group 6 (educational assistant level 3, transportation assistant level 2, student services assistant): $23.61 rising 6 steps to $31.40
