Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2019, to Dec. 31, 2022. Ratified on March 20, 2019. Signed on April 15, 2019.
Wage adjustments:
Effective 2019: 1%
Effective 2020: 1.5%
Effective 2021: 1.5%
Effective 2022: 2%
Paid holidays: 12 days, plus 1 Christmas float day.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 2 years, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 15 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. May be taken as time off in lieu. May be banked, maximum 16 hours, but will be paid out at Dec. 31 each year.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% of premiums. Employees will participate in Alberta Health Care, AUMA extended health and vision care, AUMA dental basic option number 1 and option number 2, AUMA weekly indemnity, AUMA group life (3 times annual salary), AUMA long-term disability. Employer will implement health spending account of $400 per year.
Sick leave: 2 days per month. Unused portions will be accumulated, maximum 80 days.
Pension: Local Authorities Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 10 days per year.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year.
Probationary period: 4 months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months (previously 18 months).
