More than 300 members will vote on deal Oct. 21
A tentative agreement was reached between CUPE and the City of Halifax.
The tentative deal was achieved through a lengthy conciliation process and will be voted on by the membership Oct. 21.
“Our bargaining committee is recommending the agreement to our members,” said Mark Cunningham, CUPE 108 president.
Details of the agreement will be released after it has been through the ratification process, according to the union. The union also said it will make no further comment until after the ratification vote.
CUPE 108 Halifax Civic Workers include more than 300 outside workers employed by the Halifax Regional Municipality.
