Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2016, to Dec. 31, 2018. Signed on May 17, 2016.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Jan. 1, 2016: 2%
Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 2%
Effective Jan. 1, 2018: 2%
Shift premium: $2 per hour for actual hours worked between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 1 ¼ days per calendar month to start; 1 2/3 days per calendar month after 5 years; 2 1/12 days per calendar month after 10 years; 2 ½ days per calendar month after 20 years. 4 days’ vacation travel allowance once per year if at least 5 days are taken consecutively. $1,100 vacation travel allowance annually for permanent employees with at least 2 years’ of service. $150 for each calendar month with 10 days worked.
Overtime: Time and one-half for hours worked beyond regular daily and weekly hours. Double time for all overtime hours in excess of 4 in one day or 8 on the first day of rest. Double time for all hours worked on second and subsequent days of rest.
Meal allowance: Employer supplies a meal for employees required to work 3 hours or more of overtime immediately before or following their normal hours of work.
Medical benefits: 50/50 cost shared on premiums for coverage.
Dental: 50/50 cost shared on premiums for coverage.
Vision: 50/50 cost shared on premiums for coverage.
Paramedical: 50/50 cost shared on premiums for coverage.
Sick leave: 1 ¼ days per calendar month with at least 10 paid days of work. Up to 15 days can be advanced before they are earned.
LTD: 50/50 cost shared on premiums.
AD&D: 50/50 cost shared on premiums for 3 times annual salary maximum benefit.
Life insurance: 50/50 cost shared on premiums for 3 times annual salary.
Pension: All eligible employees must participate in Northern Employees' Benefits Services Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 8 days for death of immediate family member. 2 days for sibling-in-law or child-in-law, with up to 3 additional trays for travel.
Seniority — recall rights: 18 months.
Probationary period: 6 months.
Severance: 2 weeks’ pay for first complete year of service and 1 week’s pay for each additional full or partial year of continuous employment.
Safety shoes: $200 annually for employees deemed to require safety footwear.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides protective clothing where needed. $250 annually for coveralls, smocks and swimsuits deemed appropriate by department head.
Tool allowance: $500 annually for each mechanic, heavy duty mechanic and fleet supervisor.
