Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2016, to Dec. 31, 2018. Signed on Nov. 30, 2016.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 2%
Effective Jan. 2, 2018: 2%
Shift premium: $0.50 per hour for employees whose majority of hours fall between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. Not applicable to overtime hours.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 0.061602 hours per hour of service to start; 0.082136 hours per hour of service after 7 years; 0.102669 hours per hour of service after 15 years; 0.123203 hours per hour of service after 23 years. 
Overtime: Double time for all hours worked beyond regular hours, on statutory holidays, or on day of rest. If called back to work, minimum 4 hours at regular rate of pay.
Medical benefits: City funds benefit plan.
Dental: City and permanent employees share cost 50/50.
Sick leave: 0.061602 hours per hour of service to a maximum of 1,683 hours.
AD&D: Employee who becomes disabled receive full salary for 2 years and 90% of salary thereafter. If an employee dies, surviving spouse and dependent children shall receive 95% of employee’s monthly salary. After subsequent death of spouse, dependent children shall receive 80% of employee’s monthly salary.
Life insurance: Company maintains Group Life Insurance Plan. Casual employees share cost of plan 50/50.
Bereavement leave: Up to 3 consecutive paid working days for death in immediate family. Up to 2 of the days can be used for deferred ceremonies within 1 year following initial leave. As of Jan. 1, 2018, leave will be 5 consecutive paid working days for death in immediate family and 3 consecutive working days for death in extended family. 1 day for death of close friend. 1 additional day may be granted for funeral outside of the city.
Safety shoes: Cost shared on 50/50 basis to maximum of $150 per year for CSA-approved safety footwear.
Uniforms/clothing: City supplies winter and summer uniforms for meter readers and coveralls for bylaw standards officers, bylaw enforcement officers, and mechanical inspectors.
