Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 1, 2018: 1%
Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 1.75%
Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 1.75%
Shift premium: $1 per hour for each hour worked between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 120 hours to start, 160 hours after 8 years, 200 hours after 14 years, 240 hours after 22 years.
Overtime: Double time for all work after regular shifts. May be taken as time off in lieu, maximum 72 hours.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums.
Sick leave: 1 day per month, maximum 12 days.
LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 3-times employee’s annual salary.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 3-times employee’s annual salary
Pension: Special Forces Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 1 work set for death of immediate family (spouse, son, daughter, brother, sister or wife or husband of any of them, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, uncle, parent, parent-in-law, grandparent, grandchild). 1 shift for mourners leave for other than a relative or pallbearers leave. 2 additional shits for travel in excess of 200 kilometres. 2 additional shifts if employee is required to make funeral arrangements or required to organize return of deceased family member from location more than 400 kilometres from Lacombe.
Seniority – recall rights: 2 years
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours’ pay at double time.
Probationary period: 18 months.

Sergeant: $115,111 rising 2 steps to $119,176
Senior first-class cst. 2: $104,559 rising 2 steps to $108,251
Senior first-class cst. 1: $100,722 rising 2 steps to $104,278
First-class constable: $95,926 rising 2 steps to $99,313
Second-class constable: $86,334 rising 2 steps to $89,382
Third-class constable: $76,741 rising 2 steps to $79,450
Fourth-class constable: $67,149 rising 2 steps to $69,520
Recruit constable: $57,555 rising 2 steps to $59,587
Editor’s notes: Replacement of watches: If watch being worn by employee is damaged or destroyed while employee is engaged in lawful execution of duties, watch will be reimbursed, maximum $100 for replacement. Wellness spending account: $200 per year for such items as gym memberships, fitness equipment, physical activities to keep employee’s physical fitness at reasonable level for policing.
