Renewal agreement: Effective June 16, 2014, to June 15, 2018. Signed on May 16, 2017.
Wage adjustments:

Shift premium: $800 per year for bilingual positions. $2 per hour for all hours worked, including overtime hours, between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. $2 per hour for work on Saturday or Sunday. $2 per hour for all hours worked on split-shift.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 9.375 hours per month to start, 12.5 hours per month after 5 years, 15.63 hours per month after 18 years, 18.75 hours after 28 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for first 4 hours, double time thereafter. May be paid in equivalent leave.
Meal allowance: $9 for working more than 3 hours’ overtime, except where free meals are provided. $9 for each subsequent 4 hours’ overtime.
Medical benefits: Public Service Health Care Plan.
Dental: Public Service Dental Care Plan.
Sick leave: 9.4 hours per month.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (spouse, employee’s or spouse’s father, mother, stepfather, stepmother, foster-parent, brother, sister, child, stepchild, ward, grandparent, grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law, relative residing in employee’s household). 3 additional days for travel if needed. 1 day for death of son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law.
Call-in pay: 3 hours' pay at overtime rate for each call-back, maximum 8 hours’ pay in 8-hour period, or overtime pay for all hours worked.
Probationary period: 6 months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year.
Severance: On first layoff, 2 weeks’ pay for first year of service or 3 weeks’ pay for employees with 10 or more years of service or 4 weeks’ pay for employees with 20 or more years of service, plus 1 week’s pay for each year. On second or subsequent layoff, 1 week’s pay for each year of service.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will be responsible for provision, cleaning and repair of any needed clothing.

Diving allowance: Employees whose job duties require them to dive will be paid extra $15 per hour, minimum 2 hours per dive. Field and sea allowance: Employee on field or sea research will be paid $20 extra per day.
