Renewal agreement: Effective June 20, 2017, to June 19, 2018. Signed on June 20, 2017.
Wage adjustments:
Effective June 20, 2017: 1.25%
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 9.375 hours per month to start, 12.5 hours per month after 5 years, 16.625 hours per month after 15 years, 18.75 hours per month after 26 years. One-time entitlement of 37.5 hours of vacation leave on first day of month following employee’s second anniversary of service.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regularly scheduled hours. Double time for work on scheduled day off after regular daily hours and for all work on second scheduled day off. May be banked and taken as time off, but will be paid out after 12-month period if not used.
Meal allowance: $18 after 3 hours of overtime; $18 for each subsequent 4-hour period worked.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Sick leave: 1.25 days per month. Employee who uses no sick-leave credits in year will be credited with 2 days off for personal needs in following year. Employee who uses less than 5 sick-leave credits in year will be credited with 1 day off for personal needs in following year.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Bereavement leave: 7 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, stepfather, stepmother, foster-parent, brother, sister, spouse, child, child of common-law spouse, stepchild, ward of employee, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, relative residing in employee’s household). Additional 3 days for travel if required.
Seniority – recall rights: 3 months with less than 1 year of service; 6 months after 1 year of service; 12 months after 5 years of service.
Call-in pay: Greater of compensation at applicable overtime rate or compensation equivalent to 4 hours’ pay at hourly rate of pay, except that minimum of 4 hours’ pay shall apply first time employee reports for work for 8 hours, starting with employee’s first reporting.
Probationary period: 1 working year.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.
Severance: On first layoff, 2 weeks’ pay for first year of employment and 1 week’s pay for each additional complete year of employment. On second or subsequent layoff, 1 week’s pay for each year of employment, less any period in respect of which employee was granted severance pay.
