Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 1, 2018, to Aug. 31, 2020. Ratified on Aug. 21, 2018. Signed on Nov. 22, 2018.
Shift premium: $3 per hour (previously $2.50 per hour) for night shift. $2 per hour (previously $1.50 per hour) for hours of night shift on Friday to hours of morning shift on Monday.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 80 hours after 1 year, 160 hours after 3 years, 200 hours after 5 years, 240 hours after 8 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regularly scheduled hours or 40 hours per week, whichever is greater. May be taken as time off in lieu.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Employer will provide $700 for health spending account; $450 for part-time employees. May be carried forward, maximum 2 years of accumulation.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Sick leave: Wellness days: 120 hours per year (previously 4 shifts per year).
LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Employees may contribute minimum $50 per month into group RRSP program. Employer will contribute $400 per year (previously $300 per year) for employees to start; $600 per year (previously $500 per year) after 3 years of experience; $1,100 per year (previously $1,000 per year)after 8 years of experience. Employer will contribute $600 per year for employees to start; $800 after 3 years of experience; $1,300 after 8 years of experience, if employee contributes $100 per month.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (spouse, child, parent, grandparent, foster child, adopted child, sibling, stepchild, stepparent, grandchild). 3 days for death in extended family (father-in-law, brother-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, uncle). 2 additional days for travel outside province; 3 additional days for travel outside Canada.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Call-in pay: Overtime rate for actual time spent or 3 hours at basic rate, whichever is greater.
Probationary period: 480 hours worked.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months. 6 years for employee non-disciplinary records.
