Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 1, 2015, to Feb. 1, 2017.
Shift premium: Additional 7.5% above minimum journeyman rate for lead hands. 12% above minimum journeyman rate for foremen. 50¢ per hour for steward, 75¢ per hour for steward with tool box 1, $1 per hour for steward with tool box 2, $1.25 per hour for steward with tool box 3. $1.50 per hour for chief steward with tool box 1, $1.75 per hour for chief steward with tool box 2, $2 per hour for chief steward with tool box 3. $2 per hour for night shift (between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m.).
Paid holidays: 11 days. Time and one-half for work on a named holiday.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of 40 per week.
Medical benefits: Gold plan: 80% coverage up to $3,000 per person per year.
Dental: Gold plan: 100% coverage for basic services, up to $2,000 per person per year. 50% coverage for comprehensive services up to $2,000 per person per year. 50% coverage for orthodontics up to $3,000 lifetime maximum per child under 19.
Vision: Gold plan: $300 per year if under 21, $300 every 2 years if over 21.
STD: 60% basic weekly earnings up to $600 per week.
LTD: 60% of basic monthly earnings up to $2,600 per month.
AD&D: Gold plan: $100,000, $50,000 for employees over 65.
Life insurance: Gold plan: $100,000, $50,000 for employees over 65.
Pension: CLAC Pension Plan. 4% contributed by employer.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for the death of an employee’s spouse, common-law spouse, child, legal dependant, father, mother, brother, sister, legal guardian, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparents or grandchildren.
Seniority – recall rights: 6 months.
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ pay at prevailing hourly rate for employees who report for duty but find no work available. Minimum 4 hours’ pay at prevailing rate or number of hours worked multiplied by the prevailing hourly rate (whichever is greater) for employees who commence work. Minimum 2 hours' pay at appropriate rate for employees called back to work in the same day.
Probationary period: 3 months.
Safety shoes: $200 per year, to be paid first after 6 months of employment.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer to supply safety hats, gloves, hearing protection, non-prescription safety glasses, shields, goggles, fire retardant coveralls, rain gear, particulate masks, breathing apparatuses and fall arrest equipment. $300 for the cost of prescription safety glasses, or laser eye surgery.
Tool allowance: Tradesmen to supply tools common to their trade, specialty tools provided by employer.
Mileage: 50¢ per km for employees whose permanent place of residence between 55 and 80 km from base for travel between the employee’s residence and the 55-km radius line.

Editor’s notes: Drug and alcohol policy: Both parties recognize the need for a safe workplace free from drug and alcohol use and to that end agree to develop a policy that complies with current legislation. Accommodation allowance: Minimum $125 per day or single occupancy camp accommodations or single occupancy hotel room with kitchenette for employees whose permanent place of residence is more than 80 km from base.
