Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 10, 2015, to Sept. 10, 2018. Signed on Sept. 1, 2014.
Wage adjustments:
Effective upon ratification, Sept. 1, 2014: 2%
Effective Sept. 10, 2015: 5%
Effective Sept. 10,2016: 3%
Effective Sept. 10, 2017: 3%
Shift premium: $2.75 per hour for all hours worked between 3 p.m., and 11 p.m., granted at least 1 hour is worked in that period. $5 per hour for all hours worked between 11 p.m., and 7:15 a.m., provided at least 1 full hour is worked in that period. $3.25 per hour for all hours worked from 3 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Monday.
Paid holidays: 12 days, plus 2 floater days for licensed practical nurses. Time and one-half for all shifts worked on a designated day off.
Vacations with pay: 3 weeks to start, 4 weeks after 5 years, 5 weeks after 21 years, 6 weeks after 30 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for overtime, dependent upon nurse’s individual regular schedule. Overtime for 88 hours in a bi-weekly period.
Dental: 80% coverage for basic services, 50% for extensive services, 50% for orthodontic services. $2,500 maximum per year. $2,500 lifetime maximum for orthodontics.
Vision: $450 every 2 years.
Paramedical: $300 per practitioner per benefit year.
Sick leave: 1.25 days earned per month, up to 80 days.
Life insurance: Amount equal to basic annual salary, minimum $10,000.
Pension: Matching contributions to company RRSP. Up to 2% per year for employees with less than 5 years of service. Up to 2.5% for employees after 5 years of service. Up to 3% for employees with more than 10 years of service. Up to 4% for licensed practical nrses.
Bereavement leave: 3 paid days for the death of an employee’s immediate family. That includes spouse, child, parent, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, guardian or fiancé. Spouse includes common-law or same-sex. Stepparent, stepchild, stepbrother and stepsister considered as immediate family. Up to 2 additional days may be granted without pay.
Seniority – recall rights: 2 years.
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours’ pay at straight time rate.
Probationary period: 6 months.
Mileage: 44¢ per km.

Health-care aide: $18.44 per hour to start, rising after 14,625 hours to $22.77
RTA: $18.44 per hour to start, rising after 14,625 hours to $22.77
PTA: $18.44 per hour to start, rising after 14,625 hours to $22.77
Licensed practical nurse: $25.93 per hour to start, rising after 14,105 hours to $33.95
