Renewal agreement: Effective Aug. 1, 2016, to July 31, 2019. Signed on June 1, 2017.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Aug. 1, 2016: 1.4%

RPN adjustments (prior to general wage increase)
Effective Aug. 1, 2016: $0.10 per hour
Effective Aug. 1, 2017: $0.10 per hour
Effective Aug. 1, 2018: $0.15 per hour
Shift premium: $8.50 per shift when employer temporarily assigns workers responsibilities outside bargaining unit for one-half shift or longer. $0.28 per hour for all employees who work on afternoon or night shift, where majority of hours are between 2 p.m. and 6 a.m. $0.35 per hour (previously $0.25 per hour) for work between 11 p.m. Friday and 11 p.m. Sunday.
Paid holidays: 11 days, plus 1 floater holiday.
Vacations with pay: 1 day per month or 4%, maximum 10 days to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 22 years, 7 weeks or 14% after 28 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 7.5 hours per day or 75 hours bi-weekly.
Dental: Employer pays 65% of premiums, employee pays 35% of premiums for Blue Cross Dental Plan type 9.
Vision: $265 every 24 months (previously $215 every 24 months). May be used for laser eye surgery or eye exams.
Weekly indemnity: Coverage begins on fourth day of illness for 17 weeks at 66 2/3% of salary.
Sick leave: 1 1/2 days per month, maximum 18 days. 1 day per month for employees with less than 1 year of service. After completion of probationary period, employee will be credited with 3 days.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for group life plan underwritten by Manulife with coverage of $30,000.
Pension: Nursing Homes and Related Industries Pension Plan. Employer contributes 4% to plan, employee contributes 4% to plan.
Bereavement leave: 4 days for death of spouse, child, stepchild, mother, father. 3 days for death of stepparents, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, legal guardian, grandparent, grandchildren, son-in-law, daughter-in-law. 2 days if funeral is not attended. 1 day for death of aunt, uncle, niece, nephew.
Seniority – recall rights: 36 months.
Probationary period: 60 working days within 12-month period.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will pay $0.06 per hour uniform allowance. Effective upon ratification: $0.07 per hour.
