Renewal agreement: Effective June 1, 2018, to May 31, 2021. Ratified on Aug. 27, 2018. Signed on Oct. 1, 2018.
Shift premium: $1 per hour for shift beginning after 6 p.m. or before 4 a.m.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: When vacations are taken (such vacations will be mutually agreed upon between employer and employee and will not be unreasonably withheld), it will be unpaid time off. 10% vacation and holiday pay on each cheque.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 44 hours per week. Time and one-half for all work after 4 hours of work on sixth consecutive day of work and all work on seventh consecutive day of work.
Meal allowance: Meal (hot when possible) or $20 when employee works more than 11 unscheduled daily hours.
Medical benefits: Laborers’ Health and Welfare Trust Fund of Western Canada.
Pension: Laborers’ Pension Fund of Western Canada.
Bereavement leave: 3 days of leave with a pay at $100 per day for death in immediate family (mother, father, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, husband, wife, children, grandchildren, grandparents).
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Safety shoes: After 600 hours of work, employees will receive $200 in first and second year, $250 in third year of agreement, once per year.
Mileage: $0.55 per kilometre (when project located beyond free zone).
